FRESNO, Calif. — Fresno Pacific volleyball swept the FloCollege/CCAA weekly awards Tuesday morning, with
Mikayla Weiss earning Setter of the Week honors for the third time and
Madelyn Feramisco claiming Offensive Player of the Week.
The honors came after the No. 4 Sunbirds extended their perfect start to 15-0 overall and 5-0 in CCAA play with victories over Cal State Monterey Bay and Menlo.
Weiss captured her third FloCollege/CCAA Setter of the Week award after orchestrating another impressive weekend. The graduate setter totaled 91 assists, 12 digs and four blocks across the two matches, including 33 assists and seven kills against Cal State Monterey Bay while hitting .467. She followed with a 58-assist performance in FPU's four-set victory over Menlo, falling just four assists shy of her season-best 62 assists set during the Sunbirds' reverse sweep of Alaska Anchorage. Weiss continues to lead the CCAA in multiple categories, including assists per set and total assists, while ranking among the conference's top five with a .367 hitting percentage.
Feramisco earned Offensive Player of the Week for the first time this season, becoming the first Sunbird to receive the honor this year. The sophomore outside hitter totaled 29 kills with just two errors on 60 attacks, hitting .450 across the weekend while adding 16 digs, two assists and 32.5 points.
