As a Junior (2017) - GCC Player of the Week (3/10)....GCC and ACWPC All-Academic....finished the season with 97 points on a league-best 58 assists and 49 goals in 31 games....her 58 assists set a new program record for a single season....had seven games of scoring three or more goals....scored a career-high five times in a win over Siena (2/24)....matched her career best with five goals in victory against La Verne (3/4)....dished out five assists in a win over Sonoma State (2/19)....had five helpers and found the back of the cage three times in a 20-6 win against Occidental (2/25)....scored three times and totaled three assists in a setback to CSUMB (4/14)....had five assists against CBU (4/29).

As a Sophomore (2016) - ACWPC All-American Second Team...All-GCC Second Team...ACWPC All-Academic...GCC All-Academic...had a breakout campaign and appeared in all 26 games for the Sunbirds...led the team in scoring with 34 goals, while tallying 26 steals and 17 assists...recorded a hat trick in the season opener against Cal State East Bay (1/23)...found the back of the cage four times in a setback to Sonoma State (2/21)...scored three times in the second-half to give FPU a win over Cal State Monterey Bay (3/19).

As a Freshman (2015) -  Appeared in 31 games for the Sunbirds....scored 20 goals, dished out four assists and grabbed nine steals.

Prior to FPU - Played four years of varsity water polo for head coach Mike Kelly at Gig Harbor High School....named the State Most Valuable Offensive Player three seasons....four-year All-American....three-time State Champion....team captain....also a three-year letterwinner for the swim team.

Personal - Daughter of Rito and Linda Ponce....has three siblings named Chris, Elise and Alana...the person she admires the most, her sister Elise, played four seasons of water polo at Loyola Marymount....her sister, Alana, also plays water polo at George Washington....greatest sports thrill is beating CBU in 2017 at the conference championship....chose FPU for the small Christian environment and the water polo program....favorite movie is Bridesmaids....enjoys eating pizza and Brussels sprouts....listens to Maroon 5 and Katy Perry....roots for the Seattle Seahawks and Russell Wilson....hobbies include singing, hiking and paddle boarding....attends St. Nicholas Church....Julia is a liberal studies major with plans of becoming a third grade teacher and water polo coach.
