As a Junior (2016) – Third Team All-PacWest…played in 23 matches, making 23 starts for the Sunbirds….led the team in kills (328) and ranked seventh in the league in kills per set (3.64)….ranked second on the team in digs per set (3.04) and totaled 14 double-doubles on the year….totaled double-digit kills in 18 games, including five with more than 20….posted a career-high 26 kills to go with 20 digs vs. California Baptist (10/01)….contributed 22 kills, 19 digs and an ace towards the prevailing effort in a five-set thriller against Point Loma (9/23).

As a Sophomore (2012) - Played in 29 matches, making 25 starts at outside hitter for the Sunbirds...earned NCCAA All-West Region honorable mention honors...was second on the team with 257 kills (2.71 k/s)....had 92 digs, 24 blocks, 17 service aces and a .214 attack percentage....posted season-high 16 kills vs. PacWest champ BYU-Hawaii (10/30)....had 15 kills on .467 hitting in win over Northwest Nazarene (9/8)....had a season-high .524 attack percentage with 13 kills in win at Cal Baptist (11/2)...had 13 kills on .417 hitting in win over Hawaii Pacific (10/27)....posted season-high 15 digs vs. Seattle Pacific (9/1).

2011 - Redshirt Year

As a Freshman (2010) - Played in 36 matches and 113 sets for the national champion Sunbirds....finished the season with 168 kills (1.49 per set), 59 digs, 32 blocks and a .202 attack percentage....had her game of the year in a road win at The Master's (10/7) with a season-high 17 kills....recorded 12 kills and 8 digs in win at Hope International (10/23)....had 7 kills and 7 digs in win at Westmont (11/12).

Prior to FPU - Spent four years on the varsity team at Clovis High School playing for coach Richard Lake....helped the Cougars win the Valley championship and the TRAC championship in 2006-2007....was awarded the coaches award in 2008-2009....in her senior season was named Team MVP and was presented the Sassano Blanket Award, given to the top Clovis High senior student-athlete based on inspiration, leadership, academics and performance....also played basketball and track & field.

Personal - Daughter of Thomas and Chanda Mitchell....has two siblings, Tomi and Sean....greatest sports thrill thus far was being a part of the 2010 National Championship team at FPU....person she most admires is her dad because of his hard work and constant selflessness....favorite food is Chinese, especially Kung Pao chicken....roots for the Oakland Raiders....person she would most like to meet is Adam Sandler....Karah is a liberal studies major with plans of becoming a P.E. teacher and volleyball coach.
