Biography

Personal - Julie's parents are Sharlene and Rocky De Jager of Merced...She enjoys water sports and skiing...She has three brothers, one older and two younger...Her home church is Cornerstone Community Church...She is a Liberal Studies major and plans a career as an elementary school teacher.

Prior to FPU - Julie earned MVP honors in both basketball and volleyball at Chowchilla High School in her junior and senior seasons…She helped CHS win four North Sequoia League and three Central Section volleyball championships…She was named to the Merced Star All-Area team in both basketball and volleyball…She was also named to the Fresno Bee All-Area volleyball team in 2003 and 2004.

As a freshman (2005) - Julie appeared in 51 games over 27 matches…She averaged 1.84 kills (.288) and 0.75 blocks per game.

As a sophomore (2006) - Julie appeared in 81 games over 32 matches...She accumulated 96 kills, 11 assists, 75 digs, and contributed 38 blocks.

As a junior (2007) - Julie appeared in 111 games over 35 matches...She accumulated 136 kills, 5 assists, 35 service aces, 147 digs, and contributed 20 blocks.
