As a Freshman (2018) - Appeared in 31 matches for the Sunbirds....third on the team with 197 kills....added 59 digs and eight assists....second on the team with 50 total blocks....season-high 16 kills against UC Santa Cruz (9/12)....named Academic All-PacWest.

Prior to FPU - Prepped at Cathedral Catholic High School in San Diego....member of the 2016 Division II State Championship team....earned the 2017-18 Coaches' Award and was part of the honor roll for the Dons.

Personal - Daughter of Sarona Sotoa, Steve Stuebing, and Kilisimasi Toluao....has two siblings named Ashly and Audrey....her sister Ashly played volleyball for University of Denver....chose FPU for the volleyball coaching staff and the Christian atmosphere....the person she most admires is her mother....enjoys eating noodles....favorite movie is Remember the Titans....listens to Beyonce....longtime favorite song is "If I Ain't Got You" by Alicia Keys, which she also sang at a talent show....enjoys singing as a hobby....attends First Samoan Congregational Christian Church of San Diego....Jaalyn is majoring is pre-health sciences with an emphasis in nursing.
