Biography
As a Junior (2015) - PacWest Runner of the Week (10/20)....Academic All-PacWest....had another excellent season as FPU's number one runner, recording four top-5 finishes in six races....ran to a fifth-place finish in the PacWest Championships (10/24), completing the 6,000m course in 21:34.67.....season highlight came when she competed in the Santa Clara Invitational (10/17) and finished the 6k course in a blistering 20:55.1, setting an FPU and personal record by 51 seconds.
As a Sophomore (2014) - PacWest Runner of the Week (10/7)....had a breakout season for the Sunbirds and led the team to a fifth-place finish in the PacWest, FPU's highest finish since joining the conference....ran to a fifth-place finish in the Mustang Challenge (9/20) in which she recorded an impressive time of 18:35.30 on the 5,000m course....season highlight was her first-place finish in the Sonoma State Invitational (10/4), where she ran the 6,000m course in an impressive 21:47.70 and finished nearly a full minute ahead of the next closest runner.
As a Freshman (2013) - proved to be a key contributor in her first season with the Sunbirds, helping the team to a seventh place finish in the PacWest....turned in a 24:06.10 performance (6,000m), good for third on the team, as the Sunbirds won the Santa Clara Invitational (10/19)....finished strong in the PacWest Championships (11/2), running a season-best 20:01 (5,000m).
Prior to FPU - Spent two years on the varsity team at Sierra Pacific High School under coach Tom Sowers....named Kings County Track & Field athlete of the year as a senior....earned East Sequoia all-league honors as a junior and as a senior....top times included 2:14 in the 800 and 59.7 in the 400....competed on the volleyball and soccer teams....participated in other extracurricular activities, including the Ping Pong Club and AVID.
Personal - Born October 3, 1994....daughter of Sean & Tammy Moore....has two siblings, Anthony and Brittney....sister Brittney competed in Track & Field at Colorado College and was all-conference all four years....chose Fresno Pacific because it was a small school, nice community, and seemed like a good fit....person she most admires is her sister Brittney....loves potatoes....enjoys watching Parks and Recreation....favorite book is Zen and the Art of Motorcycle Maintenance....friend on another college team is Cody Stockert of Cornell College....eats an avocade the night before a race as a pregame ritual....favorite athlete is Jenny Simpson....person she would most like to meet is Will Smith....is a member of the Syrinx Student Newspaper here at Fresno Pacific....attends Big Red Church....Courtney is a Communication and Studio Art major.
