As a Junior (2014-15) - Appeared in 14 games off the bench for the Sunbirds....totaled nine points, nine rebounds and four steals....was 5-for-5 on free-throw attempts.

Prior to FPU - Played two seasons at College of the Sequoias under coach Ray Alvarado....prepped at McLane High School, playing three years on the varsity team....earned team MVP honors and scored a career-high 36 points against Tulare Union....also played volleyball and softball....was named team's offensive MVP in volleyball and led the softball team in home runs.

Personal - Parents are Shamika Thompson and Darren Gilmer....has five siblings....chose FPU for its size and campus environment....the person she admires most is her grandmother....favorite food is mac 'n cheese....favorite movie is Love and Basketball.....favorite sports team is the LA Lakers....favorite athlete is Kobe Bryant....Daeja is a psychology major with plans of going into social work or becoming a psychiatrist.
