Prior to FPU - Spent one season at Paradise Valley Community College, finishing ninth in the pole vault in junior college nationals....competed for four years on the varsity team at Chandler High School where she was a three-time state champion and a state finalist in the high jump, pole vault, 300 meter hurdles and 100 meter hurdles.....won multiple regional championships and was team MVP....also competed in cheerleading as part of a state championship team and for two years on the varsity cross country team.

Personal - Born December 14, 1989....daughter of Virgil and Sandy....has a sister Heather and a brother Jeremy....chose FPU because FPU cared about her as a person and as an athlete....person she most admires is her coach JT Thiesen....favorite food is Mexican....favorite movie is October Sky....favorite books are Mind Gym and Way of Peaceful Warrior....favorite sports team are the Arizona Cardinals, Oregon football and Arizona State....favorite athlete is Lolo Jones....attends Redemption church....hobbies include gymnastics, dance, singing, traveling, reading, rock climbing, trapeze and shooting....Nikki is an english major and plans to teach english abroad.
