As a Junior (2019) – season highlights included a strong performance at the PacWest Championships, where she scored for FPU in the shot put (12.16m) and the hammer (career best 37.17m)….logged a career best 39.29m in the discus one week prior at the Beach Invitational....named Academic All-PacWest.

As a Sophomore (2018) – performed well on the opening day of the PacWest Championships, marking 124-03 in the discuss to score for the Sunbirds, taking seventh overall…also recorded 12.23m (40-01.5) in the shot put to take fourth and 32.91m (108-00) in the hammer throw.

As a Freshman (2017) - Competed at the FPU Sunbird Invitational and threw 35.66m in the discus and 11.78m in the shot put.

Prior to FPU - Spent four seasons on the track and field team for head coach Richard Brazil...named All-League, while the team was two-time league champions...led the team to a 2014 Valley championship while taking third in the discus...had career bests of 41'4" in the shot put and 125'11" in the discus...also played basketball and was a member of the choir in high school.

Personal - Daughter of Larry and Lori Curtis...has one sibling: Morgan...her dad played football for Cal Poly San Luis Obispo and Fresno State...chose FPU for the opportunity to grow athletically, academically and spiritually...favorite type of food is Thai...roots for Michelle Carter...favorite book is The Book Thief...hobbies include playing board and card games...attends Sanger United Methodist Church...Mackenzie is a psychology major and has minors in biblical and religious studies, with career plans to become a clinical psychologist.
