As a Junior (2019) – at the PacWest Championships, took fourth in the 3000 steeplechase with a lifetime best 9:57.25, a mark which ranks him sixth in the FPU record books….set a personal best in the 1500m with a time of 4:06.05 during competition at the Sunbird Invitational....named Academic All-PacWest.

As a Sophomore (2018) – recorded a huge lifetime best in the 800m after clocking 1:58.52 at the Pomona-Pitzer Invite….set a personal record in the 3000m with a 9:11.86 finish at the Rossi Relays….ran well at the Bryan Clay Invitational, where he posted 15:29.58 in the 5000m for a personal best.

As a Freshman (2017) - season highlight came at the Hornet Invitational hosted by Sacramento State, where he raced in the 1500m and recorded a time of 4:15.09.

Prior to FPU - Spent four years on the varsity cross country team at Corcoran High School under head coach Isaias Ramirez....posted a top time of 15:19 in the 5k....received several awards, including team MVP and Athlete of the Year.

Personal - Son of Priscilla and Cain McDonald....favorite movie is Star Wars....likes to eat pizza....favorite book is Harry Potter....friend on another college team is Gary Austin of College of the Sequoias....Jonathan is a math major who plans on becoming an engineer.
