Personal - Raymond was born in Santa Maria, CA, but calls Clovis, CA his home...His parents are Mark and Maria Eggert...He has an older sister, Loreena...His favorite team is the Arizona Diamonbacks...His favorite TV show is "Heroes"...His hobbies include video games, reading, music, anime and long-boarding...His home church is Mountain View Community Church...Raymond is a Mathematics major...He plans to teach and coach water polo and swimming at the high school level.
Prior to FPU - Raymond is a graduate of Sanger High School, where he swam for three years...His coaches were Peter Richardson, Hilary Boos, David Hasagawa and Briane Yamamoto...His team won back-to-back League Championships...He was named CMAC First Team All League...He also played water polo for four years...Raymond transfered to FPU from Cuesta Community College in San Luis Obispo, CA...He swam for one year under coach John Marsh.
As a sophomore (2008) -
Raymond was part of the 2008 men's team that took Runner-Up at the NAIA Swimming and Diving Championship...At Nationals, he contributed 21 points in his races which aided the Sunbirds in their hunt for 2nd place... Raymond was named to the All-American Honorable Mention list for the 2008 swim season.
As a junior: Ray was a part of the 2010 NAIA national championship men’s team…At Nationals, he totaled 113 points in individual and team events…Ray was a national champion, winning, along with his teammates, the 400 medley relay…Ray was also a member of the second place 800 freestyle relay and finished second in the 400 Individual Medley and eighth in the 200 backstroke and 200 butterfly.
