Biography
As a Junior (2016-17) - NCAA All American honoree….CSCAA Scholar All-American….at the NCAA Division II Championships, competed on the 200 medley relay team that finished fifth with a time of 1:42.37….helped break the school record in the 400 freestyle relay with a time of 3:25.46….at the PCSC Championships, took third in the 100 IM (59.82), second in the 400 free relay (3:26.13), third in the 50 free (23.81), second in the 200 free relay (1:34.10) and capped it all off with a first-place finish in the 200 medley relay (1:42.60), good for the first conference relay win for the women in program history.
As a Sophomore (2015-16) - Swam to a second place finish at the PCSC Championships in the 200 freestyle relay with a time of 1:35.10....won the 200 freestyle relay while competing at the Christmas Invitational with a time of 1:37.00....wrapped up dual meet competition with a second-place finish in the 400 freestyle relay (3:40.58).
As a Freshman (2014-15) - At the PCSC Championships, placed second in the 200 freestyle relay with a time of 1:34.86....anchored the 200 medley relay team that swam to a first place finish with a time of 1:46.46 vs. Fresno State (11/15).
Prior to FPU - Olivia is a graduate of Grace Brethren High School...swam four seasons for head coach Kasey Ota...swam on three CIF Championship teams...named Female Swimmer of the Year in the Frontier League for three seasons...tabbed All-Ventura Country First Team three years...member of the National Art Honors Society and received highest honors for eight semesters in the classroom.
Personal - Daughter of John and Georgina Hynes...has two siblings named Tobias and Annabelle...greatest sports thrill was winning the individual CIF Championship in the 50 and 100 freestyle...person she most admires his her mom...favorite food is curry chicken and pasta...enjoys watching Gladiator and reading A Tree Grows in Brooklyn...roots for the Los Angeles Dodgers and the New York Yankees...favorite athlete is Jason Lezak...hobbies include surfing, horseback riding, art, hiking and playing the piano.
