Biography
Personal - Erik was born in Reedley, CA but calls Kingsburg, CA his home... He is the son of Greg and Nina Thiessen...He has an older sister, Alyssa...His hobbies include spending time with friends and family...Erik is a Liberal Studies major with a Coaching minor.
Prior to FPU - Erik is a graduate of Kingsburg High School...His coach was Mike Manley...He participating in swimming and water polo all four years...He was an All American in the 100 back and 100 fly.
As a freshman (2008) - Eri
k was part of the 2008 men's team that took Runner-Up at the NAIA Swimming and Diving Championship... At Nationals, he placed 2nd in the 100 Yard Backstroke and swam the lead leg of the 400 Yard Medley Relay... Erik totaled 98 points in both team and individual events at the National Championships...For his accomplishments in 2008, Erik was named NAIA First Team All-American.
