Biography
As a Junior (2013-14) – Was a versatile swimmer and added depth to many events…Had her fastest 100 breaststroke (1:19.40) against Soka and 100 free (58.86) at the Collegiate Winter Invitational...Swam in four individual events at the PCSC Championships: 50 free (26.57), 200 free (2:01.32), 100 backstroke (1:02.60) and 200 backstroke (2:14.44).
As a Sophomore (2012-13) - Continued to have strong swims in freestyle and backstroke events for the Sunbirds...Swam three individual events at the PCSC Championships: 50 freestyle (26.22), 100 backstroke (1:02.93) finishing 19th and 200 backstroke (2:15.05) finishing 13th...Also swam on the 200 freestyle relay (1:41.55) and 400 freestyle relay (3:59.97) at the championships.
As a Freshman (2011-12) - Began her season with a strong showing at the Cal Poly Shootout with three season best performances in the 1650 freestyle (19:30.29), 200 individual medley (2:29.01) and 400 individual medley (5:11.94)...Swam three freestyle and both backstroke events at the PCSC Championships...Swam well in the 100 freestyle (51.86), 200 freestyle (1:58.39) and 500 freestyle (5:21.41)...Had season best times in the 100 backstroke (1:01.13) finishing 17th and in the 200 backstroke (2:13.30) finishing 15th overall...Her swim in the preliminaries of the 200 backstroke (2:12.44) placed her fifth on the Sunbirds' all time records.
Prior to FPU- Swam four years on the varsity team at Seaside High School for coach Ken Fittro…. was named team MVP as a senior and team captain her junior and senior years…. was a four-time all-league performer.
Personal- Born September 18, 1993…. daughter of Rolando and Alison Bautista…. siblings are Ryan, Courtney, Roxanne, and Denice…. favorite food is Filipino food and tacos…. favorite sports team is the Miami Heat…. favorite athlete is Ryan Lochte…. Anna is a Kinesiology major with plans to become a physical therapist focusing on sports medicine.
