As a Freshman (2016-17) - All-American Honorable Mention….PCSC Athlete of the Week (1/22 and 1/29)….in a dual-meet win over CSU Bakersfield, he won the 100 butterfly at 49.43, which is a NCAA B-cut and the fourth quickest mark in program history….set a school record in the 200 butterfly at 1:48.25, another NCAA B-cut….eventually broke the school record in the 100 butterfly with a time of 47.07 on his way to finishing fourth overall at the NCAA DII Swimming and Diving Championships….also competed on the 400 medley relay team that took third at the NCAA Championships with a school-record time of 3:12.30….set another school record in the 200 backstroke with a time of 1:46.78.
