Prior to FPU - Spent two seasons playing basketball at Mt. San Antonio College under head coach Clark Maloney....averaged nine points per game and was twice named to the All-Conference team....prior to that, he played for two years at Chino High School under head coach Eric Highstreet, where he averaged 13 points and 3 assists per game, while also racking up 27 charges....received several honors, including being named to the All-League team and being name team MVP.

Personal - Son of Sam Holmes and Kari Germany....has three siblings: Briawna Holmes, Clarence Germany, and Paul Germany....his greatest sports thrill thus far was hitting a game winning shot....person he most admires is basketball player Kobe Bryant....enjoys eating Mexican food....roots for the LA Lakers, Oakland Raiders, and the LA Dodgers....hobbies include playing basketball and ping pong....Sam is a Kinesiology major.
