Prior to FPU - Played centerfield for coach Paul Valenzuela at Mendota High School...He played varsity baseball all four years...He was named MVP all four years...He was named Athlete of the Year...Recorded a batting average of .525...Best game performance was going 4-5, recording two doubles, a triple, and three RBI's...In addition to baseball, he played football and basketball...He was on the Honor Roll all four years and received the Principal's Award.

Personal - Born December 10, 1988 in Fresno but calls Mendota home...His parents are Jose Reyes and Sandra Sanchez...has two brothers and a sister...He is fluent in Spanish...Chose FPU to be close to his family...Enjoys listening to Christian music...His favorite TV show is "The Office"...favorite teams are the San Francisco Giants, 49ers and Chicago Bulls...attends Place of Refuge Church...Jose is a Kinesiology major with a Coaching minor...His career goal is to become a coach and teacher.
