As a Junior (2016) - Appeared in 40 games with 34 starts....hit .259 with nine doubles and one triple....drove in 22 runs....did not commit an error....posted a three-hit game against Dixie State (4/1)....Academic All-PacWest.

Prior to FPU - Played two seasons at College of the Sequoias for coach Jody Allen, earning team MVP and first team all-conference honors....batted .353 with four homeruns, a .549 slugging percentage, and a .488 on base percentage....sported a .992 fielding percentage....prepped at Clovis West High School, where he played baseball for four years, including three on varsity for coach Kevin Patrick....received several awards, including the Eagle of Honor Award, Fresno Bee Honorable Mention and the Gold Glove Award....batted .361 overall....also played soccer and basketball....academic honors include being named to the President's List, the AGS Honor Society, and the high school Honor Roll.

Personal - Son of Frank and Cathy Gallegos....has a sister, Emily....greatest sports thrill thus far was going to the state Final Four with College of the Sequoias....chose Fresno Pacific because of the competitve quality of the team....person he most admires is Joe Garcia....favorite movie is Star Wars....favorite book is Danny and the Dinosaur....enjoys eating steak....roots for the Los Angeles Angels and the New England Patriots....likes to listen to music by Dierks Bentley....favorite athlete is Albert Pujols....friend on another college team is Wyatt Champlin of Point Loma....Joey is a business-accounting major who plans on becoming an accountant for Disney Parks.
